Dispatcher - First Student
Pay: $22.16 per hour

As a Dispatcher, you'll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly-ensuring buses are on time, supporting drivers and monitors, and serving as a vital link in communication with our customers.

Coordinate and oversee all bus routes and scheduling.
Coach and counsel drivers and monitors to ensure safety and performance.
Manage high volumes of phone and radio communication.
Serve as the primary liaison with contracted customers.
Address driver and scheduling concerns, escalating issues as needed.
Assist with charter reservations, billing, and driver payroll.
Provide solutions for pick-up and drop-off challenges.
Support daily operations, including backup driving or clerical duties as required.
Complete special projects and assignments from management.
3-5 years of related experience (dispatch, terminal operations, or driver background preferred).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Proficient in basic computer applications and radio dispatch systems.
Ability to perform under time-sensitive deadlines.
Must meet DOT drug testing and physical requirements. (DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana.)
