Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Dispatcher to join our team in West Toronto. The Dispatcher plays a key role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of our school bus routes by coordinating drivers, vehicles, and schedules. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and dispatch drivers for daily routes and field trips.
  • Monitor route performance and make real-time adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, school officials, and management.
  • Maintain accurate records of driver assignments, absences, and incidents.
  • Assist with scheduling, route planning, and coverage for absences.
  • Respond to emergencies and service disruptions with professionalism.
  • Support driver recruitment and training efforts as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Previous experience in dispatch, transportation, or logistics preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of the Toronto area is a plus.
