As a Technician with First Student, you'll play an essential role in keeping students safe by ensuring our fleet of classic yellow school buses is well-maintained, reliable, and ready to roll each day.

Hourly wage of $42.92, set per union contract (NOT flat-rate)
ASE incentive of $0.15/hour for each qualifying ASE certification - we pay for the study materials and exams

Our Mechanics are responsible for performing maintenance and repair work on a fleet of medium- and heavy-duty school buses. You'll use your diagnostic skills to ensure our vehicles meet the highest safety and performance standards.
Daily responsibilities include:
Performing maintenance and repairs on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
Completing work orders accurately and efficiently
Assisting with mobile emergency services as needed
