Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a 3rd or 4th year Apprentice Mechanic - Technician (310T) to join our Ajax maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment while working toward your Truck and Coach Technician certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed mechanics in performing inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on school buses and fleet vehicles.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and minor repairs under supervision.
  • Learn and apply safety procedures and standards in a shop environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development.
  • Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized shop.

Requirements:

  • Registered as a 310T Apprentice in Ontario (3rd or 4th year preferred).
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license (Class G required; Class B or willingness to obtain is an asset).
