First Student is hiring immediately for a 310T Licensed Mechanic for our shop serving CALEDON EAST, ON!

At First Student, we take pride in maintaining a safe, reliable fleet of school buses and vehicles. We're currently seeking a licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician to join our Caledon East team. If you're passionate about vehicle maintenance and want to work in a supportive, safety-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buses and other fleet vehicles
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with Ministry of Transportation standards
• Complete work orders and documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Collaborate with the shop team and supervisor to prioritize tasks
• Respond to road service calls when needed
• Stay current with new technologies and participate in ongoing training

Qualifications

• Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician license (required)
• Experience with diesel engines, air brakes, and electronic systems
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills for work order entry
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail
