Serving Norwich, New London, Stonington, Sprague, Bozrah, and Lisbon
Are you ready to start your career in vehicle maintenance? First Student is looking for an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic mechanical skills who's eager to learn and grow with a nationwide company.
What We Offer:
Union wage: $26.90/hour - after 6 months, your rate of pay will be $27.90.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

What You'll Do:
Perform light vehicle maintenance to First Student's safety and quality standards
Handle basic fueling and fluid checks
Complete minor vehicle repairs and move vehicles safely in the yard
Use our state-of-the-art paperless maintenance system
Assist with other shop tasks as assigned
Participate in safety and skills training sessions
What You'll Need:
Basic mechanical skills (school or hands-on experience a plus)
Previous experience with gasoline or diesel vehicles preferred
Valid driver's license (CDL preferred; we'll train you to earn one within 6 months)
Ability to safely use hand, power, and air tools
Willingness to meet DOT drug testing requirements
