Accounting Clerk

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

First Student, North America's leading provider of student transportation, is looking for a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our team in Winnipeg.

Key Responsibilities:

Process weekly payroll for drivers and staff
Prepare and post accounting documents such as invoices, receipts, and expense reports
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Generate invoices and follow up on outstanding balances
Maintain accurate financial and clerical records
Assist with audits, reconciliations, and financial summaries
Support HR-related administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll (as the primary)
At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative roles
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
