Location: Stamford, CT
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 annually
About the Role
At First Student, our Location Safety Managers are a constant reflection of our company's commitment to safety and customer service. The Location Safety Manager provides operational oversight, guidance, and leadership in carrying out full safety supervisory duties at the location level.

Key Responsibilities
Administer driver hiring and compliance processes
Provide direction and guidance to location trainers
Investigate accidents, incidents, and work-related injuries; determine fault/probability
Prepare and submit accident-related compliance forms, maintain files, and enter data in system
Provide assistance and training to drivers and attendants on passenger management and other safety-related issues
Perform driver road checks and evaluate driver performance
Supervise employees with safety, driver hiring, or training responsibilities
Prepare reports and analyze safety trends to support continuous improvement
Qualifications
2-3 years of transportation or safety-related experience
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree a plus)
Knowledge of federal and state rules/regulations regarding safety and environmental issues
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong leadership, communication, and training skills
Reliable transportation for travel within service area
Consistent attendance and punctuality
