Service Employee - Winnipeg

The Service Employee is responsible for maintaining and fueling all school buses, activity buses, and commercial buses in coordination with First Student's Maintenance Department.

Key duties include dispensing fuel, checking oil, maintaining accurate stick and meter readings, stocking required supplies and equipment, and coordinating the flow of buses to ensure safe operation. Light maintenance of buildings and grounds may also be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open the gates to the lot and check bus parking areas to ensure timely dispatch; reposition buses as needed to maintain yard traffic flow.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete reports such as Bulk Fuel Receiving Report, Fuel Variance Report, Month-End Closing Report, and Meter Calibration Report.
  • Notify the Location Manager or designee when fuel delivery is required and ensure accurate stick readings before and after delivery.
  • Check and fill oil, antifreeze, power steering, transmission fluid, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, and belts on buses being fueled.
  • Perform light interior and exterior maintenance on buses as required.
  • Carry out any other tasks or directives as requested by management.
